Lydian Sky is a Seattle-based neo-progressive art rock collective blending hard rock, psychedelic rock, electronica, and art rock into a cinematic, genre-spanning sound. The project was born during the 2020 lockdown by Berklee-educated composer, multi-instrumentalist, and astrophotographer Scott Carness, who fused his love of astronomy and music into something entirely his own.
Their debut EP Nebula was recorded in Palm Springs with producer/engineer Chad Shlosser (Polyphia, Billy Gibbons, Slash) and drummer Rich Lambert (Mike Porcaro), laying the foundation for what would come next. Their sophomore EP Pink Aliens in Tahiti, released April 17, 2026, is expansive, textured, and deeply intentional, drawing listeners into a sonic universe that is equal parts cosmic and human.
The band has built a growing audience through press coverage in outlets including Social Casualty, Jamsphere, Cactus Clique, and Polish publication MLWZ PL, along with radio airplay across the US and UK via Chris Redjam's On the Horizon and streaming on UWAVE Radio.
Lydian Sky's live debut is a celebration of everything the project has become, and an invitation to experience that universe in real time.
