LOUD FLOWERS BIO
Loud Flowers features singer/songwriter Chris Livesay, drummer Chuck Wood, bassist Tommy Simpson, and recent addition to the group guitarist Peter Maxwell. The band’s acclaimed 2024 debut album was praised in a review by the legendary indie music magazine The Big Takeover as “Gritty and hard rocking. Biting looks at ideological self-doubt, cold-hearted executives, and MAGA bullying culture. A formidable remedy.” Loud Flowers plays all original material, artfully fusing elements of traditional rock and roll, punk, alternative, and folk into a sound that’s uniquely their own—and all delivered with a powerful, melodic edginess that reflects band members’ deep history in the Seattle music scene. What genre would they call that? “We’re fundamentally a rock and roll band, in the melting pot sense of the term,” says the band’s singer/songwriter Chris Livesay. “Our genre is probably something like American Mutt Music.” In addition to their 2024 debut album, group released two 3-song EPs—Litho EP and Earwig EP—in April 2026. Loud Flowers’ music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other major streaming services.
