The Hypno-Techs were formed eons ago on the planet ZR3, 39 light years away, originally as the brainchild of Hypnoman, a top Zeta Reticuli Foundation scientist who had a change of heart after witnessing the horrors of the human dissection unit. Grabbing Specimen 19 by the hand and stealing a spaceship, Hypnoman eventually crash-landed on Earth, where he vowed to protect Specimen 19, fight against his former colleagues, and save the world. Quickly joining forces with deep space cyborg warrior The Machine, shapeshifter from a rogue planet of doom Bebe LaStrange, and Zella T Robot, an organic supercomputer and the universe’s smartest being, the fearsome foursome set to work using music as their medium to deliver humanity from intergalactic peril, and the rest, as they say, was history. Known for their signature scifi-billy sound, The Hypno-Techs build on the groundwork laid by iconic Earthlings from Nekromantix to Koffin Kats with a unique approach that draws on the aesthetic of how humans have visually depicted the horrors that lie in deep space over the last few decades, as well as showcases each member’s captivatingly acrobatic talents. Now, having had time to hone their craft over a handful of initial releases, music videos and electric live shows, The Hypno-Techs are preparing for a breakout year, with a full-length album already on the horizon, while plans for future live shows process in the background — all to be announced by official transmission in due time.
